Dear Parents and Carers,
This week
As always, thank you for your continued support of our school community. It has been another busy and successful week and we would like to share some important updates and celebrations with you.
P1 Registration Open Afternoon
We were delighted to welcome prospective Primary 1 pupils and their families to our P1 Registration Open Afternoon. This was a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to visit the school, meet staff, explore our learning environments, and find out more about life at our school. We look forward to meeting our newest learners and their families next year.
Women in Sports Lunchtime Club
This week Ms Melville ran a Women in Sports Lunchtime Club as part of our commitment to celebrating the ‘She Can, She Will’ initiative. The club aims to inspire and encourage girls to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and a lifelong enjoyment of sport.
Tanzania Partnership Assembly
We were pleased to welcome Mr Barrett from Dunoon Grammar School, who delivered an engaging assembly about the upcoming Tanzania trip. Pupils learned about the wonderful opportunities this partnership provides and the positive impact it has on communities in Tanzania. As part of the initiative, our school will be donating a collection of recycled school uniforms to be taken overseas and shared with children and families who will benefit from them.
Choir Update
Our choir recently enjoyed working with Anne and Alison from Voices of Argyll as they helped prepare pupils, with Mrs Kent, for our upcoming Christmas Concert on 17th December. The children showed great enthusiasm and commitment during the sessions and we are looking forward to showcasing their talents at what promises to be a wonderful festive event.
HM Inspectorate of Education Surveys
A gentle reminder that the HMIE surveys close today. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has taken the time to complete a survey. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us to reflect on our strengths and identify areas for further improvement. Thank you for your support throughout this process.
P7 Benmore Tearoom
The P7 Benmore Tearoom event will take place at Dunoon Grammar School this Saturday. This is always a popular event and an important fundraising opportunity for our Primary 7 pupils. We encourage families to come along, enjoy some refreshments and support our pupils as they work towards their upcoming activities and experiences.
Thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events.
